Each belt is made by a small community of artisans in Coban, Guatemala. Ana Maria the head weaver is in charger of most production. She learnt how to use the hand loom by her mother. Ana Maria is now teaching her small daughter Josephine, so she can continue the craft. In 2022, we traveled to their community and spent a few days with them.
